Jimmy went to an Astros game one night. So Nana came over, brought us dinner, and spent the evening with us. After dinner, her and Kendall put together this cute Easter bunny house that she got Kendall for Easter. It's like the Gingerbread house kits. Super cute!
Then, they decorated the cookies too.
We went outside to play for a little bit before bedtime!
It was a fun, relaxing evening! Thanks Nana for coming to visit......and for bringing over dinner!!
Several weeks ago we spent the morning out at Kemah. It's been a while since we've been there. So, we thought it would be fun to go before it gets too terribly hot. Kendall LOVED getting to ride all of the rides!

Several weeks ago we had a FUN FRIDAY with Nana. She came over early to play, then she went with us to dance class..........
Then, we were off to lunch at Panera Bread. Kendall's favorite! Then, we went to paint pottery. Kendall & Nana painted a cute little heart-shaped dish to put her new earrings & special treasures in!
They were having too much fun!
Then, we hit up Gigi's cupcakes! We all got a cupcake and I have to say, they were MUCH better than the first time we went! :)

It was a fun day with Nana! Thanks, Nana, for taking the day off from work to spend it with us!!
Before we headed home, Jimmy had a special spa treatment scheduled for Kendall at the Scoops spa (no parents allowed!). Kendall was really excited about it.
They let me come in and take pictures before they got started!
Kendall got to pick out the flavors for the pedicure. She chose chocolate for the foot soak, vanilla foot scrub, and strawberry lotion.
Then, she got into her new pink, minky robe! It is ADORABLE!

Can this place get any cuter? Everything went along with the ice cream sundae theme! So cute!!

Once they got started we watched from outside. The pictures from the glass window turned out great!

Once she was done, Kendall was all smiles! She got to take home the robe, tiara, thermos, nail polish, file, and lipstick.
Then, we hit up the build-a-bear. Jimmy had promised her that she could get a Great Wolf Lodge character, Violet!
Then, Kendall got to have ice cream for breakfast (It was part of the spa package!).
Kendall LOVED getting to have ice cream for breakfast. We didn't let her eat all of it. But, it was a special treat, for sure!!
She was one happy girl! The spa was precious and she loved every minute of it! I highly recommend it and The Great Wolf Lodge! We loved the entire time there. Such a fun place. We'll be back, for sure!! :)
After a wonderful day of swimming, we got showered and ready for dinner & storytime!!
We went downstairs to walk around a little bit. Kendall was excited to see a penny machine!
Then, Kendall & I watched the storytime. It was cute! We got there early to get a front row seat. The trees and animals moved and sang. Kendall thought it was really neat.
Then, a lady read a story. She was great with the kids and Kendall really enjoyed it.
After the story, one of the Great Wolf Lodge characters, Oscar, came out to meet all of the kids. Kendall was excited to get her picture taken with him.
After the storytime, we were off to eat Pizza in our room! They have a Pizza Hut on site. Gotta love that!
Then, back downstairs for some ice cream!! They have a great little shop with all kinds of homemade candies, pastries, and ice cream!! This cute little bear is in front of the candy/ice cream shop.
We had a great day. But, were exhausted! Kendall & I got in bed together to read a little bit before bed. Jimmy snapped these!
It was a great day at the Great Wolf Lodge!
The next morning we got up and headed off to our 3rd hotel, The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine! It was the coolest place!
I had never heard of it. But, after Jimmy booked it, I started asking around about it and everyone had such great things to say about it. So, we were excited! We got checked in and went up to our room to unload.
Kendall & I slept in the little cabin!
It was a little room that looked like a cabin. It had bunk beds too! Kendall wanted to sleep on the top bunk. She started to climb up there and quickly decided she wasn't a fan of the top bunk.
So, she decided to check out one of the other beds! Ha!

.....and then headed off to lunch! We had lunch at Mi Cocina which is so yummy! We haven't eaten there since the last Frisco/Dallas trip several years ago! So, it was fun to go back. Then, we headed back to the hotel for naps!

I made Kendall & Grammy a cute dress/shirt. Kendall's says "Parrothead in training" and Grammy's says "Parrothead Grammy".

We got to the concert early to enjoy a little tailgating fun! We also got to see the band and get a few autographs........
The concert was about to start, so we were off to our seats. THESE WERE THE BEST SEATS WE'VE EVER HAD!! They were front row, dead center!!
A little side note:
Story #1: Jimmy and I were having drinks at a bar before the American Express/Jimmy Buffett concert a year or so ago. We met a really nice couple, and chatted with them for a good hour. They just so happen to be good friends with a family friend of ours. Anyway, They are big parrotheads and we ran into them in the parking lot, again, at the Woodlands concert last year. So, this night......we get to our seats for the concert and I feel someone tapping me on my shoulder. I turn around and It's them! They had seats on the 4th row and spotted us as soon as we walked in. Buffett fans are so much fun! It's fun to see familiar faces at each concert!
Story #2- Jimmy and I met a couple, that had front row seats next to us, several years ago in Frisco. They are actually from OK and the Dallas concert was the closest concert for them. We exchanged email addresses then and they were kind enough to send us some pictures from the concert. But, we never talked to them after than. So, as we're sitting in our seats, guess who walks in and sits down next to us? YES! They had front row seats next to ours!! Small world, huh??
The concert was awesome and the seats couldn't have been better!!
It was fun being so close. Buffett would look down at us and wave, smile, interact. It was so much fun!!

We spent the last few days in Dallas. We had a little 4-day getaway......and loved every minute of it. We drove a few hours Wedneday night and grabbed dinner and then went to the hotel to relax. The next morning we got up early, grabbed breakfast, drove another hour or so and hit up The AMERICAN GIRL doll store as soon as it opened. We took Kendall to the one in New York when she was two. Remember these.........
Kendall was soooo little then and obviously doesn't remember going. But, loves her doll and plays with it all the time. So, she was SUPER excited to go to the store and load up on more goodies!
We were there before the doors opened. So, she had plenty of time to window shop!!
She has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger and had NO PROBLEM talking him into buying a car seat.....double stroller......and a ton of other things!!
She LOVED the store and can't wait until they open the Houston store this summer!!!
I think there are a few things she didn't get this time around! :)

A few weeks ago we planted a few new rose bushes and put out new mulch. Our little Diva got down and dirty too!
Kendall was really excited to help out!
Kendall found some clip-on plastic princess earrings that she's been wearing for the past 2 days. She LOVES them. We went to the mall and she insisted on wearing them. They kept falling off and we just knew that she was going to be devastated if she lost one. So, at lunch, we had her take them off. While we were eating, her Daddy asked her if she wanted to get her ears pierced and she said "YES". So, since she was so excited about it, we decided to do it, right then!
I didn't have my camera with me. :(. But, luckily I had my cell phone!

Friday we took Kendall to see Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream! Her Daddy bought 4 front row seats months ago and she's been SO EXCITED about it ever since. We made it a super special GIRLS Day with her Grammy & Nana joining us!

We went to the Opening Day for the Astros a few weeks ago. We got there just in time to see the Budweiser Clydesdales entering into the park.

Kendall was really excited about Easter. We went to the Saturday night Easter church service. It was really nice. Then we came home and put some carrots on the porch for "The Bunny!".......
Then, we turned our cross around....."HE IS RISEN!!". I Just love this cross. We got it at our church several years ago. It's solid white on one side. You put that out in your yard a few weeks before Easter and on Easter morning you turn it around to read.....
Kendall was off to bed and the Easter bunny left a ton of goodies!!

Easter morning, when Kendall woke up, we went outside to check on the carrots. She was so shocked that some of the carrots were gone! She's saying "LOOK, the bunny ate the carrots." (Not the best picture. I just snapped quickly without looking.)

Kendall's school had their Easter party on Thursday. It was a big day for Kendall. Her teachers offered to let her stay the entire day....(She usually stays until lunch, comes home to nap, and then we go back to school for the party.). So, She got to stay the entire day and even take a nap at school. I don't think she actually slept. But, she was super excited to get to sleep on a cot! ha!

We went for a walk a couple of weekends ago. Kendall REALLY enjoyed feeding the ducks.

Kendall is still struggling with non-stop allergies, runny noses, coughing, occasionally the fever, etc. After trying several medications, allergy testing, etc. We insisted on having some tests run. So, our little angel had to have a CAT scan.
She was SO BRAVE!! I told her it was like one of those crazy roller coaster rides that circle around you! She sat SO STILL and wasn't even scared, even though I had to wait outside.
The scan showed that all of her sinus cavities are infected/inflamed. So, she is on several medications to hopefully clear this up. We are praying that this will help! :)
Kendall was totally exhausted from spending the morning at school, missing a nap, and hours at the allergist. She crashed on the way home!

Kendall had school the week of Spring Break. They had all sorts of fun themes for each day. One day was Pajama Day! Kendall loved getting to wear her nightgown to school......
We stopped and picked up a kolache for breakfast and headed off to school to each breakfast with friends.

The other day was a mis-match day! So, I let Kendall dress herself. She grabbed bracelets, a necklace, sparkly shoes and her new favorite headband that she made. She wasn't really mis-matched since almost everything she owns is pink. But, she loved her outfit!

Last week was Spring Break for all of the kids. So, a bunch of us met up for lunch and let the kids run wild at the playground!
Owen was in town (They moved to Ft. Worth several months ago!) and Kendall was super excited to get to see him. They played together alot.
Kendall got upset with him about something and his Mommy made him hug her and say he was sorry! Adorable!

She can do the second half just fine.....flip over, from her back, and swim back. But, it is the swimming and flipping over onto her belly that she can't do. She starts to sink............ (here she is sinking!). But, she'll get it, eventually!
Kendall has gotten REALLY GOOD at swimming on her back.

A bunch of us had a Girls Night planned. But, the plans kinda fell through. I was really excited about having my first Girls Night ......since Kendall was born. So, it was a bummer that the plans were cancelled. But, things worked out after all. :)
Jimmy & I had tickets to the rodeo and Kendall was going to stay home with a sitter. Long story short, Kendall had/has a sinus infection and we didn't want to leave her with a sitter. Jimmy insisted that I ask a friend to go with me and have a Girls Night! So, that's what I did!

So, Ashlee & I went to the rodeo. We grabbed Mexican food & Ritas first, had some crazy laughs about a missed exit, screaming cop, and crazy cowboys that seemed to be following us all night. It was a really fun night. The concert was great!!
The concert didn't last long. So, we stuck around for a while and had another drink........We had a lot of fun!!
We didn't make it home till almost Midnight. But, we both really enjoyed having a night free. Thanks to our sweet hubbies for watching the girls!!
Jimmy bought Kendall a Kinect Game. I had never heard of them before. But, it's similar to the Wii. But, you don't have to hold a controller or anything! It detects your movements. So Cool!!!
Kendall & Her Daddy played a game where you basically take a walk through Disneyland. Kendall got to go up to the characters and get their autographs ......and waves.......

Then, Jimmy put a game on for me. He had me jumping up and down, dogging things, trying to stop water leaks, etc. I looked so silly playing it. But, had a blast!!

Kendall & I have been trying to hit up the park as much as possible. One afternoon, we invited some of our neighborhood friends to join us, after naps!

Kendall & Raegan were talking about the "bad guys" (ha ha!) that they had been running from (Raegan's big brother and his friend). I guess Raegan's brother was being a typical brother and messing with Raegan. Her feelings were hurt and Kendall was being Miss Sassy telling her to ignore them........and her little expressions just crack me up! (Not the greatest pictures. But, you get the point)......
I love this one.....Kendall's giving them that LOOK!! Like "We're not scared of you!" Ha!
It was nice to get to chat with the Mommies and Kendall LOVED seeing her friends again. We'll be doing this again, soon......before it gets too terribly hot!
Kendall is still taking swim lessons. She's been promoted twice, I think, since I've last blogged about her lessons. So, we're VERY PLEASED with her progress.
She can swim independently a pretty good distance. They are focusing now more of the different styles of swimming!
None of the pictures I have are great.....you can just see her little head under the water, swimming ALONE!
We can't be more pleased! She went a REALLY long time with not even wanting to put her face in the water. So, she's come a long way!!

We met up with some friends for lunch last week after dance. After lunch, Kendall plopped down on the bench, grabbed her friends, and said "Take our pictures!". So, we all pulled out our phones and started snapping away!

Kendall and I stay pretty busy now a days. But, we do have 1 free day with nothing to do! Kendall just loves that we get to stay home all day! So, what do we do???
I taught Kendall how to use my computer. ha! I found some educational games on my computer and taught her how to use the mouse and click, click, click!
We play dress up A LOT!!

We've also been having A LOT of tea parties. I've been bribing our little picky eater with tea parties. (I know, I'm a great parent, right? ha!) If she tries a new fruit or vegetable and/or eats all of it, several days a week, she earns a tea party. This has BEEN HUGE for her since she typically would rather starve than try something new.

Cady's B-day was a few weekends ago. Kendall was super excited to go to the party. We had planned to be out of town, and weren't going to get to go. So, she didn't even know about it until the day before. So, Kendall was super excited!! The party was a Candy Land theme. Courtney had cute little crafts set out for them to do....

The next little girl pulled it and it busted right open. She turned around to look at her Mommy like, "I promise I didn't mean to break it!". All the kids kinda looked around like "what are we suppose to do?". So, we told them to go grab some candy! It was so cute!

Welcome to our newest members of The Carlton family! They actually joined our family in November. But, never made it to the blog! Since I'm the one that takes care of them, I thought they were blog worthy now! ha!
Some family friends of ours gave them to Kendall when we were in Key West. Funny Story......Kendall actually got 3 crabs that were put in a cup. They were crawling around and making a ton of noise one night. So, Jimmy sat them out on the porch. It was windy in Key West and they blew away.....and found a new home. Kendall was pretty upset. So, our friends, brought over two more. I put them in a TOGO cup and they flew home on the plane with us, in my purse.
They are happy campers at our home. The large one has been named "Crabby Pants" ..........
........and the little one is "Baby Crab".

Kendall woke up on Valentine's Day and had school. I felt like an awful Mom making her wait all day to open her V-day goodies. So, I let her open a little one before school.
My little cutie was all ready for school!
When she woke up from her nap, the V-day gifts were all ready and waiting for her. She is one lucky little girl. Grammy sent boxes of stuff and her Mimi & Poppi sent goodies too! (Thank you!!)

Kendall had a fun little school V-day party last week.

How can this be my child? She only licks the chocolate off and throws the rest away. Neeldess to say, we rarely buy donuts and it is always followed up with a kolache. She keeps trying to tell me that her belly is full from the chocolate and she doesn't need to eat anymore breakfast. But, I'm not buying it! ha!
Nana was reading to Kendall while we were waiting to see the doctor. Another sinus/ear infection.....
My picky eater decided that she wanted to try some cereal one morning. After one bite, she decided cereal wasn't good!
Kendall's manicure! Crazy, I know. But, she insisted on purple and pink...with sparkles! ha!
Kendall LOVES to eat fettucine alfredo. She calls the Italian food restaurant nearby the "White spaghetti place". We usually eat there once every few weeks. It is her favorite family dinner out, for sure!! Here she is with her Daddy at the White Spaghetti Place!!

Kendall had a great time at her friend, Asher's, B-day a few weeks ago. It was at Kids In Action where Kendall has had her parties. She just LOVES it there!

Since we switched Kendall's room to a BIG GIRL room, we cleared out all of the baby stuff. So, the rocker had to go. I'd have to say, this was BY FAR the hardest thing to part with. I totally cried, for SURE, when we sold it!
Since it was so sentimental, I had to get a few last pictures. It was late, we were tired, and not looking our best.
But, sweet sweet last memories were made with my little cuddle bug, sitting in this special chair!

Our Valentine's Day has been going on for a few days now. Jimmy took us out to dinner last night, to avoid the crowds!! It was a wonderful dinner and a great break from a busy Monday.
He also had these sent to the house.....There's like 4 dozen of them, maybe more! Beautiful flowers......
......and the most precious card that Kendall made at school!
We have a busy day of opening up gifts and school parties. So, I'll post more pictures later! Until then........

Nana & Grandy came over last month to celebrate a late Christmas. We had to cancel our Christmas with them, in December, since Kendall had bronchitis.

They loaded Kendall up with all kinds of pink kitchen accessories for her new kitchen.

A few weeks ago we decided to change Kendall's bed to a full-sized bed. We literally decided to do it one morning before she woke up. So, once she was up, I started cleaning, reorganizing, and rearranging everything. Jimmy ran off to buy her a new matress and box springs. Then, we set up everything. I found some adorable, rediculously expensive bedding from Pottery Barn Kids that she said she liked. So, it was all coming together quickly. When Kendall got up from her nap, Jimmy started asking Kendall what kind of bedding she wanted (not realizing I had already picked some out from PBK).......like Princess, Tinker Bell, etc. Kendall kinda mumbled something about, "Well, Mommy said I had to get some pink flowered ones.". Awww, my heart sank. She didn't want the pretty pink flowers once she realized they made Tinker Bell Sheets!! I quickly realized that I was creating the most precious room that I invisioned and she just wanted some cute, bright-colored, fun bedding! So, change of plans!! We all loaded up and went to our LEAST favorite store in the world and let Kendall go to town!! She picked out the brightest set she could find, I'm sure........HOT PINK and HOT PURPLE!!

Later in the week we ordered the matching curtains, rug, trash can, pillow toy, etc. I need to find a cute bed shirt too.
Anyway, Kendall loves her new Hello Kitty Room! I do too! It's so nice to have the extra space and we've enjoyed watching movies in bed!! Plus, the bright colors are a fun new change and it was all 1/4 of the price of the PBK stuff!
Kendall had so much fun at Savannah's party, she wanted to go back to the salon. Since I've been in a desperate need of pedicure, I decided that Kendall was old enough to tote to the salon with me. So, we had our first Mother/Daughter mani-pedi!
Kendall had to bring her purse and call all of her friends!
Our schedule stays pretty busy now with school, dance, swim lessons, etc. So, we had to go after swim lessons one day........which is why she has damp hair.
Kendall loved it and so did I! We're making this a regular outing!!
Kendall was invited to her friend, Savannah's b-day party a few weeks ago. The girls all met up at the nail salon first. Kendall is REALLY into getting her nails painted now. So, she was super excited about this.
